An artist I am not, but hopefully it helps you to find your way around. As the garden evolves, so will the map.
The next iteration may correct the apparent backwards lean on the cabin. It doesn’t really do that. Well, not that much.
And the Man Shed may even have a door.
and a cute little ‘compass rose”?
I will put it on the list for v.2 !
I look with my husband on the plan of your grounds. What a garden! And what a lot of steps. A wonderful place.

Thank you!
I hope it will be a wonderful place one day. At the moment it is just very hard work. I was out there this afternoon, dragging root balls I could hardly lift up and down the 45 deg slope. Gardening on a hillside is ten times more difficult than gardening on the flat. The stone wall terraces in your garden are very similar to what we have here, it’s a good way of dealing with the slope. The vast majority of our land though is better suited to goats!
I’m new to your blog and have enjoyed exploring around… most of all, I love that you included a map! What an original and interesting idea!
Hi Elizabeth, thanks and welcome to rusty duck.
I had a lot of fun doing the map, but I don’t think I’ll ever make it as an artist!
Nice blog! I am disappointed to see the size of the man shed, my ‘man cave’ in the house is basically a cupboard, about we rise up against this! Great pictures by the way.
Hi Ben, thanks and welcome on board!
He has launched a takeover bid of my potting shed. On some technical triviality like the Man Shed is falling down. Or something like that..
looking at this map, and photos of your home and woodland… you have my dream place… look after it for me please. 😉
It’s a hard slog. But it’ll be worth it in the end, I hope. Thanks Autumn and welcome to rusty duck.
