Merry Christmas Jessica! Love the lights on the reindeer!

Thanks Sol. The lights were a real bugg*r to do… took me hours last night and more than one glass of wine. And then one string didn’t work.. aaarrhh, Christmas.

Reindeer in the garden now. I hope you’ve set traps. They eat everything. A very happy Christmas to you too Anna.

    • Jessica December 23, 2014 at 7:57 pm - Reply

There will be no nibbling. I’ve tied an extra strand of LED wire around each muzzle, just to make sure. 🙂

Sorry, I mean Jessica. I was just talking to my daughter, Anna when I wrote the comment. Obviously not so good at multi tasking these days.

    • Jessica December 23, 2014 at 8:01 pm - Reply

Thanks. The photo was almost as hard as stringing the wire… the light!

  14. Cathy December 23, 2014 at 5:28 pm - Reply

You have had your fair share of critters this year – at least this one shouldn’t do too much damage 😉 Have a very love festive period both of you 🙂

    • Jessica December 23, 2014 at 8:08 pm - Reply

No, I think this one is quite safe. It is harnessed to the wall thanks to the LED wire. As long as the mice don’t start chewing..

Hi Linda, thanks and welcome to rusty duck.
It’s great to hear from you and I’m glad you’ve enjoyed the blog. There will be more of all of those in the New Year. Hopefully more trips but sadly the plaster dust is likely to return first!

    • Jessica December 23, 2014 at 8:24 pm - Reply

Thanks Helen. I’ve had the deer for years. Mum, Dad and Baby. They have got a bit bent over time but at least they don’t nibble!

Can’t believe we can put a man on the moon but we can’t make Christmas lights that last from one year to the next!!! Happy Christmas Jessica and Mike!

    • Jessica December 23, 2014 at 8:30 pm - Reply

The annoying thing is they were new this year!! It’s lovely that the wires have got so thin but they’re a bit delicate it seems. Two bare wires touching shorted them out. Had to call on himself and more insulating tape.
Awful what has happened in Glasgow. I was worried about you when they mentioned the School of Art. So glad you’re OK. x

Merry Christmas Jessica! I hope the only deer that visit your garden are wicker (or Santa’s reindeer, which I assume have the grace not to nibble on the shrubbery as they make their rounds).

    • Jessica December 24, 2014 at 9:52 am - Reply

If only all the critters in the garden were as well behaved, raccoons included.

It was a case of third year lucky with this one too… in the end it was done in daylight, with background artificial illumination as well. That way we could pick out the details of the willow structures as well as the lights. Still many attempts in the trash can though.
