Aw, thanks CT & likewise. I always know where to come for bird ID..our woodpecker family is bigger than I thought.. 3 chicks on the bird table yesterday. 🙂
Congratulations and a Happy bloggy birthday !
I’ve so enjoyed your stories throughout the year, I know you are serious about your gardening, but I’ve laughed my frock off at most of your escapades 🙂
Here’s to the next…

That’s great! I do enjoy stopping in and looking at your photos and reading about that pesky pheasant.
Looking forward to keeping up with your progress in the gardens there. Perhaps maybe youll become a quilt maker this winter?
Have a great weekend.
Congratulations on your Anniversary – and you’ve achieved so much in that year! I still laugh at the bird-twirler, it was wonderful. I hope it’s still working? May the next year bring more successes, and more fun.
Thanks Virginia.
It is still working.. sort of. The experienced (and more determined) squirrels hang on for dear life until the three cycles of twirling stop, knowing that they then have free rein. Easy to spot a new squirrel on the block! We turned it off when the woodpeckers were feeding their chicks, a squirrel can sometimes upset the calibration and then it starts to twirl the birds too.. 🙁 The funniest thing is when the batteries are replaced. Then it twirls really fast – horizontal tail time!!
Congratulations Jessica, your blog was one of the first I signed up to when I started blogging and is still one of my favourites, fantastic photography (I really need a decent camera!) and there’s always something to make me smile. Looking forward to the next year! Julie x
