NOW What..??
We got home yesterday to find this on the bank at the top of our drive.
It’s big. And meant to be seen.
But what could it mean?

It’s never dull round your way is it?
Tell me about it, Sue. The idea was to move somewhere quiet and sleepy.. ha!
That looks rather menacing. I feel sure at some point in time someone will come and dig a hole underneath that arrow.
It’s been only two weeks since the last hole.. 🙁
That looks rather ominous!!!
And will they be barricading us in again, I wonder.
The squirrels are pointing the way!!!
It’s certainly where I’ll be putting them, if they don’t behave…
I had to smile at Simone’s comment and your reply! It does look like more roadworks – I expect it is far too much trouble for different untility companies and etc to liase so that when work is needed it is all done at the same time so that roads don’t have to keep being dug up.and resurfaced.
Sad but true. When they did the resurfacing they only did the worst bits.. leaving big stretches of road still with potholes! Cutbacks again I suppose.
TREASURE! 😉
Hey… I’m out there with a spade!
Oh Er… what could it mean ?
Whatever it is (treasure excepted) it will be BAD NEWS!
It’s the Highways Fairies.
Well maybe that wouldn’t be so bad.. would it?
Welcome to rusty duck Cumbrian
That definitely looks ominous – look forward to pipes being dug up or worse
I’d hoped we were done with roadworks, Elaine. All the mud.. 🙁
They are definitely going to dig a hole, put barricades around it (making it extremely difficult to access your driveway), and then leave them there for several weeks for no apparent reason.
I fear the worst, Annie. I can only hope that the fairies have some influence and can find the treasure while they’re at it.
Verge art? A rural Banksy who was short on paint perhaps? They surely can’t need to dig another hole!
Inspired Annie. And if a true Banksy, treasure indeed!
I need new glasses. At first I thought that was a pretty waterfall…
Or a very large seagull passed overhead..
