Mettle
It’s done. But it was a tight squeeze.
Earlier in the week, Simone asked how the reinforced bird feeder was holding up. I’m delighted to report that, so far, it remains intact. The squirrels haven’t been around as much. Perhaps there are easier pickings to be had in the wood at this time of year.
Or perhaps they have no teeth left.
Time will tell.
I just spilt my cocoa laughing at the thought of the toothless squirrels!
Just catching up here … I think our plumber must be your plumber’s Welsh cousin … it really isn’t a pretty sight is it. I’ve been wondering whether braces would make a suitable Christmas gift for a tradesman 😉
What an excellent idea Annie!!!
Sorry about the cocoa.
Love the photo 🙂 i wouldn’t like to be in their shoes…
They weren’t in the best of moods. Especially as it was Friday afternoon!
What on earth are those men doing ? Are the two who look like they are having a pee infact looking at a map and wondering just how lost they are ?
Ha ha! Or “this surely can’t be the M25??”
They couldn’t possibly do a three point turn in that vehicle round could they? Had to smile at the vision of toothless squirrels, the ones in our garden seem to be getting plumper and glossier by the day
The squirrels are getting themselves ready for their winter onslaught Rosie – on our bird feeders!
I came looking for a swing shovel but an array of men in professional orange trousers is even more impressive. That’s dignified, serious work going on at your place, indoors and out.
Construction (and destruction) a speciality of the house, Mise
Great news on the bird feeder. Maybe Mike should patent it?
And sell some. Then there will be toothless squirrels all across the land..
Only six of them? One to do the job and five to watch – they must be short staffed!!
Council cutbacks, Viv!
